Let’s Do It! Cyprus 2025 — Impact & Highlights

This year’s Let’s Do It! Cyprus 2025 campaign brought together 21,328 volunteers in 243 teams, collecting 1,194,368 liters of mixed waste and 597,184 liters of PMD during Cleanup Week (27 October–2 November). This effort removed over 200 tons of waste from communities and natural areas across Cyprus.

A highlight of the 2025 campaign was the introduction of our new mascot, Mr. Papou — the resilient  Cypriot prickly pear cactus — symbolizing strength, adaptability, and the spirit of collective environmental stewardship.

The campaign culminated in a closing ceremony in Souni–Zanakia under the theme “Supporting Fire‑Affected Areas”, with participation from the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, the Forrest Department, and community partners, reinforcing unity and environmental responsibility.

Schools played a leading role once again—particularly primary schools, with over 10,800 student volunteers—demonstrating the power of early environmental education.

The campaign brought together schools, municipalities, public authorities, NGOs, companies, scouts, citizen groups, and the National Guard, proving that collective action can create lasting environmental impact across Cyprus.
