Together Cyprus at the 2nd Pedieos Sustainability Festival

Between 17 April and 10 May 2026, Together Cyprus proudly participated in the 2nd Pedieos Sustainability Festival – “Flow of Life”, an initiative led by the Commissioner for Environment and Animal Welfare that brought together public authorities, civil society organizations, businesses, and citizens to celebrate and protect the Pedieos River ecosystem.

With the generous support of ExxonMobil, Together Cyprus implemented a series of environmental and educational activities aimed at promoting sustainability, community engagement, and responsible environmental practices.

As part of the nationwide Let’s Do It! Cyprus campaign, volunteers joined clean-up actions along the Pedieos River, contributing to the protection of public spaces and raising awareness about environmental stewardship. In addition, Together Cyprus organized two hands-on eco-workshops, introducing participants of all ages to the principles of circular economy, reuse, and sustainable resource management.

A key outcome of the initiative was the installation of a free drinking water station at the Linear Park of Lakatamia, near the basketball courts, which became operational on 10 June 2026. The station provides accessible drinking water to walkers, runners, cyclists, and athletes while helping reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles.

The project demonstrates the power of collaboration between civil society, local authorities, and the private sector in creating practical, long-term solutions that benefit both people and the environment.

Together Cyprus extends its sincere thanks to the Office of the Commissioner for Environment and Animal Welfare, the Municipality of Lakatamia, Exxon Mobil, the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI), Aqua Crystal, and all volunteers and partners who contributed to the success of these activities.
